Built with thin wall portal construction methods using quality ply and LVL, the Handy Hut is a strong, warm and fully-transportable building.
We build every Handy Hut kitset individually by hand in our Wairarapa workshop.
Why We Build The Handy Hut Like This
• Thin wall ply portal construction maximises floor space yet remains very strong and resilient to bumps, jolts and high wind speeds.
• The inherent strength of the Handy Hut design allows for customisation of door and window sizes and placement.
• The materials we use render the Handy Hut easily transportable, allowing simple relocation to a new site.
• Permanent, strong materials increase the Handy Hut's re-sale potential.
• We wanted it to be warm, so the standard unit is insulated to these specifications - floor R1.4; walls R2.2; ceilings R2.5.
• Plywood and LVL (laminated veneer lumber) provide a very strong yet light-weight buiding when compared to standard construction materials.
